Role Purpose

Providing consulting “Seller-Doer” services across wide range of energy and infrastructure transition areas including Hydrogen/ H2 vectors (Ammonia, LOHC, Methanol), SAF, CCUS, Carbon Markets, Circular economy etc. In addition to business development, the individual is expected to support delivery of consulting assignments

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively as a part of the team, act as a “seller-doer” in building the business and delivering consulting assignments for RE energy (Solar, Wind, BESS), hydrogen, carbon capture, biofuels, SAF, circular economy or other relevant energy transition areas.
  • Develop key accounts and CRM strategies with a focus on growing business in target regions and lead through the secured work to ensure seamless assignment delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Accountable for driving and delivering allocated sales target and profits attributed to target markets.
  • Hands-on delivery leadership with an ability to develop project reports and other critical deliverables as required.
  • Provide leadership for all parts of the consulting assignment including Project/ Programme Management, Commercial strategy, Due diligence, supply chain engagement and business case definition.
  • Proactively lead marketing efforts and EIT/Ricardo’s solutions and capabilities through events, conferences and other marketing channels
  • Support business area managers in developing new solutions and engaging with customers as a part of ongoing consulting assignments or support other business areas in driving a synergetic value proposition as a part of key account management process.
  • Provide required support towards various internal and external initiatives including development of digital tools, marketing materials, market research and technology solutions.
  • Work with Business Area Managers to train, develop and mentor young professionals in the team supporting their individual capabilities development.
  • Lead proposal development process as requested ensuring compliance to Ricardo’s internal approval and quality processes.
  • Proactively assess new market developments and emerging challenges in the energy transition space. Share notable developments with the EIT leadership team

Key Competencies and Experience

  • Degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or Economics
  • MBA is an advantage but not essential.
  • Ability to connect and communicate with Customers at all levels
  • Strong network in the industry, ability to sell business wide solutions across multiple target areas
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering consulting projects in target market areas
  • Appropriate industry and market knowledge relevant to the Practice and associated Growth Solution(s)
  • Sound understanding of Electrolyser technology and associated offerings, Ammonia, Methanol, BioFuels / SAF and CCUS technologies and their TRLs
  • Prior experience of consulting “seller-doer” or business development including development of key accounts, CRM strategy, commercial and technical value proposition
  • Ability to think strategically and presenting ideas in a concise and logical manner.
  • Ability to understand complex problems and develop a value-based proposition for customers to solve those problems.
  • Leading people – development, mentoring and coaching of individuals and being an inspirational presence for the wider business.
