Purpose 

Ricardo’s A&I Division are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Store Person to join an existing build project and the site stores team. The role is primarily for a specific project that is already underway but would extend to assisting the general Shoreham site stores and project teams. 

 

We are passionate about providing quality products to our customers and in order to facilitate the build, the teams rely on highly organised, pragmatic and methodical parts management. 

 

Key accountabilities 

This role is critical to the management of hardware to support the build of a complex product. The selected Stores Person will be required to undertake the following: 

 

  • Accepting deliveries. 
  • Moving hardware. 
  • Checking parts are correct, undamaged and meet the required specification. 
  • Reporting any discrepancies to the project team. 
  • Logging parts in wasp, generating labels and allocating items to the appropriate project store area racking. 
  • Selecting hardware for the next step of the build and providing a batch of items to the build team. 
  • Issue of kits of parts for production.
  • Becoming involved with the project Bill of Materials to help with the logistics of when parts are required for the build and when they are due in. 
  • Management of stock including stock takes. 
  • Contributing to possible improvements to stores and inventory processes.

  • Good organisational skills. 
  • High standard of cleanliness and tidiness.  
  • A practical, logical and process driven approach. 
  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised. 
  • An ability to work on your own and within a team. 
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Strong sense of ownership. 
  • Able to document clearly and be meticulous with tracking hardware. 
  • Can do attitude.  
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure. 
  • IT skills, including Excel, Wasp, Printing and scanning, Emails (Outlook). 
  • Forklift licence.
