The Role
We are currently seeking an IT consultant to join our Digital Services team. This role is ideal for someone with a diverse background in working with various stakeholders and experience in project management. Your responsibilities will include understanding evolving business needs, assessing how they impact our projects, and helping stakeholders create and implement innovative digital solutions. You'll collaborate closely with environmental experts, project managers, and digital teams to craft compelling proposals and support project delivery for both our internal and external clients.
In this position, building strong relationships within our organization and with our clients is essential. You'll need to adapt to different cultural and political expectations and be flexible to meet various demands.
As an IT consultant, your interpersonal and communication skills will be crucial as you interact with clients on a global scale. You should be a confident and effective technology consultant, experienced in assisting clients with their business and IT challenges. Staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends is a key aspect of this role, and you should be recognized as a knowledgeable partner by the stakeholders you collaborate with.
Key Responsibilities
- Consulting staff from different parts of a client's organisation.
- Analysing an organisation’s data.
- Defining project objectives.
- Writing and presenting bids and proposals.
- Compiling and presenting information.
- Writing reports and documentation.
- Responding to feedback.
- A flexible attitude to working patterns is required as travel and periods of working away from home are to be expected.
- Gaining a solid understanding of the business and how Digital Services knit into the business framework.
