Job Description
We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent service to customers and who has the ambition and capability to develop into a future leader of our business.
You will be a Lead Assessment Body (AsBo) assessor or Lead NoBo/ApBo Assessor or ideally both, for a range of assessment projects. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be required to lead the assessments applying relevant technical expertise to the assessment of evidence provided by the client and lead others in progressing the overall assessment task.
To deliver the role you will have:
- A sound understanding and practical experience in delivery or one or more of the core railway engineering disciplines
- Experience in application of Engineering Safety Management (ESM);
- Experience in assessment of the application of ESM to railway engineering, ideally as an ISA assessor but possibly having experience as part of more than one assessed project;
- An understanding of the Common Safety Method (CSM).
- Excellent communication skills and people management skills.•Experience as an AsBo/ NoBo assessor is desirable but not essential. It is considered that a person satisfying the above essential competency requirements should easily be able to align with the specific requirements of CSM assessment role.
In addition to the core assessment role you will need to:
- Provide guidance to client personnel regarding overall ESM/CSM process and requirements.
- Provide guidance to the client and their contractors regarding the ESM/CSM requirements for audit and assessment.
- Communicate back to the AsBo team regarding AsBo requirements for your discipline(s).
- Represent the AsBo at project reviews/meetings with Ricardo and the Client.
- Provide line management of a group of staff looking out for their well-being and development.
- Undertake Business Development activities and write proposals; developing strong relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders.
