Salary Range: £20'800-£26'000

Our vision is to create a safe and sustainable world

Ricardo plc is a world-class environmental, engineering and strategic consulting company listed on the London Stock Exchange. With over 100 years of engineering excellence, we provide exceptional levels of expertise in delivering leading edge and innovative cross sector sustainable products and solutions, helping our global customers increase efficiencies, achieve growth and create a cleaner and safer future. Our Energy and Environment business unit combines energy, climate change, environmental and chemical risk expertise with strong IT and economics capability.

We are currently looking for an Analyst Consultant to join our Air quality and Environmental team based in East Hendred, Wantage, Oxfordshire.

Whats Involved

The Air Quality & Environment team of around 130 consultants, scientists and engineers develop and apply state-of-the-art tools and techniques to deliver effective solutions to difficult air quality problems.  Our team includes knowledge leaders on air quality measurement, inventory development, modelling, exposure assessment, chemical modelling, public health impacts, information management and data visualisation. Our clients benefit from the full range of air quality services that result in solutions and strategies tailored to addressing challenges at local, city and national scales. We deliver hundreds of projects every year, to public and private sector clients in the UK and overseas, including flagship programmes such as the UK’s national air quality measurement network (AURN), the National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory (NAEI) and the annual national scale air quality modelling assessment on behalf of UK Government.

With growing pressure on businesses and governments around the world to meet stringent standards and regulations, the ability to accurately measure particles in the air is an essential requirement that can pose a significant challenge. Accurate measurements of the spatial and temporal distributions of particles and understanding their behaviours enable businesses to improve their product performance, reduce costs and demonstrate conformance to industry regulators and with government air quality standards. Ricardo Energy & Environment’s experts help industry and government comply with legislation, supporting organizations through our key services – such as equipment calibration (essential for demonstrating to regulatory authorities the validity of measurements), and we carry out monitoring and quantifying airborne particles in a wide variety of scenarios. We have ambitious growth plans and are now seeking to strengthen our laboratory and technical support team at our Ludbridge Mill Laboratory.
