Job Description

· Work with customers to define vehicle electronics integration

· Define and Document power and signal interfaces between vehicle electronic components for both high-voltage and low-voltage

· Create wiring harness definition

· Create electrical signal schematics

· Create electrical harness drawings and specifications sufficient for customer documentation and wiring harness build

· Create 3D CAD drawings

· Create electrical harness BOM

· Oversee wiring harness build soured to other companies as needed

· Ensure quality harness builds by overseeing quality control with harness builds as needed

· Support electrical harness build and debug activities on site as needed

· Work collaboratively with the North American and the Global Ricardo group as well as customers nationally and internationally

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering

· 3 + years’ professional experience in automotive high-voltage and low-voltage applications

· Experience in defining and documenting electronic component interfaces for vehicle applications

· Good communication skills and client awareness

· Ability to work independently and with a distributed team

· Maintain high attention to detail in all aspects of task execution

· Skilled in usage of harness and electronic circuit definition and documentation tools such as Altium, Mentor Graphics, Rapid Harness, NX, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Knowledge of UL, CE and automotive safety requirements

· Understanding of global industry standards and trends to provide the latest technology solutions

· Ability to create circuit board layouts

· Awareness of best practices to minimize electrical interference
