Job Description

Ricardo Defense has an excellent opportunity to join our growing Finance Department. We are seeking an experienced Finance Administrator for our Troy, MI office. This Finance Administrator will assist the accounting department with processing purchase requests, audits, and payroll. This Finance Administrator will complete the full transaction cycle of request, order, receipt and validation of procurement of goods and services to include identification and issue resolution/corrective action of vendor/supplier discrepancies. This Finance Administrator will also serve as back up to the payroll function.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process and perform sourcing activities for purchase requisitions to include request for quotes, accuracy of order acknowledgements, input data requirements into database, files correspondence into correct folders, and responds to questions, concerns, and needs
  • Place new and recurrent orders with various suppliers
  • Follow up on delivery and update computer system and documentation accordingly
  • Work closely with relevant departments to ensure products purchased are in line with the needs of the company
  • Assist with policy and process improvement in multiple business areas including: supplier evaluation and selection, establishing and tracking supplier metrics
  • Coordinate resolution of invoice and payment discrepancies
  • Serve as backup to bi-weekly payroll function in uploading complete accurate files to Paylocity
  • Assist and complete month end transactions related to accounts payable and payroll
  • Provide/gather internal and external auditors’ requests of financial documentation support
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an applicable field of study or 5 years of experience in purchasing or a requisite combination of education and experience
  • Excellent customer relationship skills, and ability to create value in the relationship
  • Understanding of Government contracting (FAR/DFAR/CAS) and procurement processes (CPSR), is a plus
  • Excellent IT and reporting skills, experience in UNANET and SAP a plus
  • Ability to work comfortably in a team environment, multi-task, and support concurrent requirements for different internal and external customer
  • Self-motivated individual with attention to detail, strong organizational, communication and negotiation skills necessary
