We are currently seeking a Digital Change Manager to become a critical member of the global Change team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for candidates who want to make a big impact delivering global initiatives, managing senior stakeholders from across the division and becoming a key part of the division’s future success.
Our ideal candidate would be determined and enthusiastic to get stuck in with excellent organisational and communication skills. They will need a large amount of tenacity and curiosity to investigate and deliver their assigned projects. They will be able to work under pressure, to tight deadlines with changing priorities from the Global Change Programmes Manager and divisional directors.
The candidate will be self-sufficient, have strong project management skills and experience in the end-to-end roll out of new technology to global teams.
The primary focus will be to successfully plan for and deliver Global Digital Change projects within the Change Portfolio, ensuring project and programme risks are managed and the desired outputs, outcomes and benefits are realised. This role is not purely about co-ordinating and managing but will involve developing a deep understanding of the drivers for the project and getting involved with hands-on project work.
The Change team is focused on delivering the Rail strategy across multiple programmes; Digital Reporting, Digital Change, Customer Experience, Service Development, Business mergers and Transformations to name a few. You will work within this small team and across various programmes to deliver your projects, nearly all of which will be Digitally focused.
This role will see you working with teams from multiple countries covering different time zones, to plan and successfully implement a wide range of projects requiring the use of different project methodologies. You will plan for and monitor project success, escalating issues and risks where needed and negotiate project changes with senior stakeholders when necessary.
As your focus will be Digital change, you’ll gather requirements for new systems, system changes and technology roll outs, developing these into business cases and specifications for delivery. You will need to quickly gain an understanding of our complex stakeholder network, Digital landscape, and divisional strategy.
You will support the development and implementation of the division’s global Digital Change strategy for the relevant Programme Directors.
You will liaise with our Digital suppliers and Group systems teams to ensure successful project delivery and the defined benefits are realised. You will need strong organisation and stakeholder management skills.
You will provide updates and periodic reporting on the status of these projects and drive divisional awareness of the Change Portfolio. Part of this will involve delivering ‘Lunch and Learns’ and tools or process training where needed.
Required education and experience
- Educated to degree level.
- 5 years of experience in a project delivery role.
- Must have experience planning and delivering complex projects within the Digital area.
- Able to travel to all UK offices and possibly internationally for global projects and programmes.
- Ability to prepare professionally presented and well-structured reports, business cases and project plans is key along with knowledge of office 365 and its applications. Knowledge of Microsoft Flow, PowerApps, Power flow and Power BI is not necessary but would be advantageous.
