The Energy Practice:
The Energy Practice’s focus is the decarbonisation of energy and we consist of over 65 specialist consultants supporting techno-economic studies, technical auditing, regulatory development, smart grid solutions, carbon management and optimising local energy systems.
We are seeking an intelligent and self-motivated science/engineering graduate to join the CHP and Heat business area. This role will provide the perfect first step into a consultancy career in an exciting and rapidly changing sector. The role also involves conducting site audits, covering CHP and renewable heat technologies.
You'll be part of a team supporting senior consultants in delivering projects to clients. You will have excellent numeracy and analytical skills gained from a scientific or engineering background, strong writing skills, a proactive, organised approach and a commitment to producing high quality work with a high level of attention to detail.
We expect our Analyst Consultants to enjoy solving complex problems and to have, or be keen to develop, technical expertise in the renewable energy field.
- A Bachelors (2.1 or above) or Masters, in engineering, renewable energy or physical science
- A high level of numeracy and a talent for numerical analysis
- A professional and diligent approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Be flexible, proactive, resilient and enthusiastic
- Be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative, as well as operate effectively as part of a team
You will need to hold a Full UK Driving licence for this position, as the post will include UK travel as part of the delivery of our CHP and Renewable Heat audit programmes.
Knowledge of renewable heat technologies and systems
Ability to understand process schematic diagrams
