RESOURCE PLANNING ADVISOR, ASIA - HONG KONG

 

THE ROLE

Ricardo Rail is seeking a fastidious and organized individual to fill a new regional role, Resource Planning Advisor. The objective of this role is to facilitate effective resource co-ordination between the regional business units throughout North Asia, ensuring that the right consultants are deployed on the right projects at the right time.  Ultimately they will drive efficient effective use of consultant’s time to optimize productivity and profitability.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engage with country level Business Managers to understand resource requirements, and co-ordinate with Team Leaders and consultants to ensure effective & equitable resource deployment.
Recommend and communicate staffing assignments to Business Managers and Project Teams
Manage and build a live contractor database.  Source new contractors for engagement in Ricardo's business
Oversee the outputs of the Resource HeatMap, and request forecast revisions as resource allocation evolves.  Escalate resourcing cold/hot spots to the Business Managers and GM as required
Cascade effective resource management principles and promote the value in good resource management practices to the business
Provide analyses and insights on resource metrics by producing and reviewing reports and financial information to proactively identify issues
Provide resource solutions and processes which drive the efficient and effective use of the firm's talent to optimise productivity and profitability
Work closely with Business Managers, Team Leaders, Project Managers & Global Managers to re-deploy staff and identify capability needs
Any other duties as required

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Relevant Bachelor degree 
Experience in resource management and planning or business operations within a professional services environment
Strong knowledge of business systems and refined data analysis skills
Experience working closely with colleagues in a high-performing team
English (Must Have): Fluent in speaking and writing.  Chinese (Mandarin) (Preferred): Fluent in speaking and reading; fluent in writing highly desirable
IT literate - must be proficient in MS Office suite and appropriate specialist software, e.g. FTA & RBD software applications
