The National Chemical Emergency Centre (NCEC) is the premier global chemical emergency response centre and recognised with over 40 years of heritage and operates within Ricardo Energy & Environment. We provide industry leading services to emergency services and large multi-national chemical manufacturing and distribution companies.

We are currently seeking two Marketing Professionals to join our thriving Marketing & Communications Team.  One role to provide PR and Campaign support to the Ricardo Energy & Environment business, the other to provide support solely to NCEC.

The Roles:

We are seeking a creative, self-motivated individual to join us as a Marketing and Communications Executive. You’ll be part of a team supporting technical consultants in delivering communications and engagement projects across each of our Practice areas with a particular focus on providing engaging and dynamic copy for use within discreet campaigns and as part of corporate positioning.

You will manage your time across several projects, contributing in all phases - from helping to develop communication strategies and plans, to delivering copy and content for digital and traditional collateral.  Supporting promotional events and assisting our marketing campaigns will also be key as will your involvement in the preparation of proposals to win new client contracts and contribution to corporate communications initiatives.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Develop draft and edit copy for both digital and printed media, such as for use on websites, in social media, for collateral, brochures, in bids etc.
  • Provide assistance in developing market information and intelligence in support of Ricardo Environment’s marketing campaigns.
  • To create lead generation activities in support of the consultancy practices / business areas.
  • To help maintain website and social media accounts - including copy writing and page development (though CMS).
  • To manage marketing campaign development and delivery.
  • To manage collateral development.
  • To develop and deliver webinars.
  • To manage marketing information on CRM.
  • Work flexibly to assist in other areas of communications and public relations as required (e.g. writing content for newsletters, managing external and internal communications/mailing campaigns, organising events, campaign list building, research and verification etc).

NCEC is seeking an experienced marketing professional to develop and deliver tactical marketing activities to support the sales team, account managers and product managers. This will involve working with the wider marketing team to create marketing materials and campaigns that will assist these stakeholders in achieving sales opportunities. This is a hands-on role which will require comprehensive experience of marketing from designing and delivering campaigns to supporting webinars and events.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • To create lead generation activities in support of the sales team, account managers and product managers.
  • To maintain website and social media accounts - including copy writing and page development (though CMS).
  • To manage email campaign development and delivery.
  • To manage collateral development.
  • To develop and deliver webinars.
  • To manage marketing information on CRM to ensure that is fit for purpose and up to date at all times.
  • To support event management and delivery.

These are exciting roles for a marketing professional working within a fast-paced consultancy. You will be supported by the Marketing Manager and senior marketing executives, as well as the team of specialists in design, proofreading and PR, but if the successful candidate has experience in these areas it would be an advantage.

The successful candidates will possess the following:

Essential:

  • Educated to Degree or HND level in a relevant subject.
  • Proven experience of delivering lead generation focused marketing activities.
  • Highly organised with effective prioritisation skills.
  • Experience of working with CMS, CRM and email software.
  • Experience of working with technical products or services.
  • Good ‘user benefits focused’ copy-writing capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels.
  • Professional approach in all aspects of working.
  • Reporting on performance of marketing activities.

Desirable:

  • Experience of organising and delivering webinars.
  • Experience of using Kentico, Microsoft Dynamics or Dotmailer.
  • Experience of working with multi-media including video editing software.
  • Professional Marketing qualification (CIM).
